Finally, Samsung has introduced the highly anticipated Galaxy S20 Ultra. The revelation takes place in the Korean tech giant’s Unpacked event. The big show features the release of several new upcoming Samsung smartphones, including the standard Galaxy S20 model and the larger Galaxy 20+ variant. However, Galaxy S20 Ultra steals the show with outrageous specs and features.
Galaxy S20 Ultra: It’s All About Camera
Galaxy S20 Ultra packs the amazing 108-MP AI camera. It’s the same shooter that we had predicted in our list of the top 10 upcoming smartphones. It can capture low light photos with a stunning quality. Thanks to the 9-in-1 image shooting mode. As the name suggests, it combines 9 different photos into 1 seamlessly. It promises to set a new benchmark for the low light photography.
With the highly advanced camera setup, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is capable of recording stunning videos in 4K resolution. The two other upcoming Samsung phones, the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+, also feature the same capability. So, you can use the phones to record professional-level videos and share them on your YouTube channel. In fact, Samsung’s Unpacked event was recorded with the Galaxy S20 Ultra. It clearly shows the impeccable footage capturing ability of the device.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra also features Samsung’s first periscope lens. It is built around a 48-MP sensor, which looks quite similar to the periscope lens of last year’s Huawei P30 Pro. However, it’s significantly more advanced. The lens provides the device with 10x hybrid optical zoom functionality, which is amazing. Also, it allows you to perform 100x space zoom. As a result, the new device has been transformed into a highly advanced camera phone with an impeccable distant subject shooting ability.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S20 Ultra contains the Snapdragon 865 chipset. It’s the fastest smartphone processor that you can find in any other Android device right now. The chipset has also been used in the two other upcoming Samsung smartphones. It has been coupled with the massive 12 GB / 16 GB RAM. So, you will never experience any lagging.
Also, Samsung has included the latest Adreno 650 GPU that promises a silky smooth gaming performance. All these components have transformed the new phone into a complete beast. In fact, they have made it a strong contender for the title of the best smartphone of 2020.
To help you indulge in gaming for a long time, the Korean tech giant has used a gigantic 5000mAh battery, which is the largest one among the trio. We are not sure about how long it will last with a single charge. However, we expect it to last almost two days with a moderate usage pretty comfortably.
Among the upcoming Samsung smartphones of the S20 series, the Galaxy S20 Ultra has the largest screen. The 6.9-inch screen comes with the Dynamic AMOLED panel, which is HDR10+ certified. It has a high resolution of 1440 x 3200, which translates to a high pixel density of 511 ppi.
